Visited Tuesday evening, in September 2025. Lovely friendly & professional service in the sit down informal restaurant. We chose large and senior fish and chips, tartare sauce & curry sauce, pot of tea & a coke. All served in a clean, fast, efficient & exceptionally friendly atmosphere. Senior fish and chips £10.95 was a very large portion for me, more like medium sized & was delicious & fresh. Very impressed, no wonder it was busy !

Just one street away from Broad Street, but the Fish& Chips were £2 to £3 cheaper! We found the fish and chips very good, and especially liked that they had the option to get grilled (unbreaded) fish rather than breaded and deep-fried. They also have a senior portion of cod on the menu, grilled or fried, for £2 less than the normal price. The waitress was a very friendly, and very attentive without hovering. The atmosphere is like a diner or a simple pub, nothing special but completely adequate. We'll be back!

Excellent thick piece of cod in a very crispy, non greasy batter, with crunchy soft centered chips. Lovely curry sauce. The scampi is good & generous too. Service was friendly. Probably rate with the best fish & chips I have had.
